POSSIBLE PROJECT SITES:
Iglesia Metodista Jesus es el Camino (Jesus is the Way Methodist Church)
This is a small Methodist church plant in a poorer part of the city. Their part time pastor is also a seminary student. While the church is quite young, it meets in a building that was built as a mission in the 1950’s. They have an immediate need for building classrooms above the church (adding a second story); as well as building a small apartment where the pastor would be able to live in the future. Team members would be housed with host families from the church and could be involved in a variety of other kinds of ministry while they were there working on the construction project.

Pastor Andres Cuevas leads this rapidly growing congregation in Guadalupe, a poorer part of the city. They are an independent bible church and have a strong emphasis on evangelism and discipleship. They have expanded their facility twice already and each time have filled quickly to capacity. They have bought the adjacent property and plan to greatly increase the size of their worship area. Team members would be housed with host families from the church and could be involved in a variety of other kinds of ministry while they were there working on the construction project.

Pastor Ruben Sanchez and his wife Veronica work as itinerant pastors/missionaries in 6 different locations around the Monterrey area. They work among the poor and have a very practical ministry that includes church planting, medical & dental care, hygiene education, food & clothing distribution, discipleship training, housing, and vocational classes. “El Rancho” is a large piece of land in the country where they are building homes for children without parents, single parent families, and the elderly. The new church on this site already has 50 adults and 30 children coming from three neighboring villages. Team members would be housed with host families from the church and could be involved in a variety of other kinds of ministry while they were there working on the construction project.

Iglesia Filadelfia (Philadelphia Church)

Pastor Joel Martinez Arevalo planted this Assembly of God church 24 years ago in Guadalupe and has seen it grow to about 300 people. They currently own land in a very poor village about 40 minutes away called Villa Juarez. They are ready to begin construction on this church plant and already have several families who live in that community that will make up the core group. Team members would be housed with host families from the church and could be involved in a variety of other kinds of ministry while they were there working on the construction project.
